Sargent 1888 Flush Bolt
Decorative flush bolt for a door made by Sargent. Cir. 1888. It is made of cast Iron with bronze plating. It features a flat tab that slides up and down to activate the bolt. The bolt is highly decorative in Eastlake style with floral and geometric elements. The plate measures 8 1/8"h x 1"w. The area that mounts into the door measures 6 3/4"l x 3/4"w at the widest point. The bolt mounts with four holes on the front and two holes on the wraparound that goes on the edge of the door. The bolt portion extends out 5/8" and measures 1/2"diam. If you need a strike plate to go with it, please let us know at the time of purchase. We may be able to find one that will work with it.
It has a dark patina with some plating loss.
