Sargent 1888 Druggist Drawer Pull
Cast iron decorative bin pull with label area made by Sargent. This style is marked as a Druggist drawer pull in the catalogue. It has Eastlake style decoration with shaping and dense leaf/floral motifs. The bin pull measures 4 1/2"w x 2 1/2"h. The area for the label to sit is2 5/8"w x 1"h. It has a 3 1/2" center to center distance for mounting screws. No manufacturers markings. The decoration on the pull area is fairly worn and there is some pitting throughout.

Sargent Manufacturing was founded in 1857 in New Britain, Ct. by brothers Joseph, George and Edward Sargent. In 1864 they moved to New Haven, CT. They were a distributor for the Mallory Wheeler Company up until about 1882. Sargent Lock continues today under the ownership of Assa Abloy.
