Sargent 1888 Bin Pull 2

Cast iron decorative bin pull with remnants of bronze plating made by Sargent. Eastlake style decoration with floral and geometric motifs. The bin pull measures 4 1/2"l x 1 1/2"h. It has a 3 3/4" center to center distance for mounting screws. No manufacturers markings. Some very small remnants of paint remain.

Sargent Manufacturing was founded in 1857 in New Britain, Ct. by brothers Joseph, George and Edward Sargent. In 1864 they moved to New Haven, CT. They were a distributor for the Mallory Wheeler Company up until about 1882. Sargent Lock continues today under the ownership of Assa Abloy.
