Roggin's Style Thumb Latch

Roggin's Style Thumb Latch Cast iron decorative Roggin's style thumb latch. This type of latch was widely sold in the late 1870's to early 1900's by many of the major companies. The set consists of a decorative handle with thumb latch, strap, latch bar, staple, privacy lock, jamb strike (not pictured) and 6 screws. The jamb strike might not be original but the latch bar fits into it and it is the correct shape. The thumb latch has a hole in the middle of it that may have been added later, possibly for drainage. It is a clean, old hole so it is possible that it was original. The handle measures 6 1/2"h x 1 3/4"w at the widest point. The thumb latch extends 2" from the back of the handle.
