Reading Windsor Door Butt Hinge

Antique decorative cast iron door hinge with bronze plating. Made by reading, it has many of the Windsor design elements. Decorative finials on both ends. A textured background makes the design stand out.  Eastlake style with a number of different geometric motifs densely packed into the area. The hinge measures 3" x 3". Much of the plating is intact.

Reading

Reading Hardware began in 1872 in Reading, Pennsylvania. It produced both basic and highly decorative builders hardware. Reading’s hardware was used in many notable buildings including the White House in Washington, D.C. The operation closed in 1950.
