Norwich Skeleton Key 22

Norwich Skeleton Key 22 Skeleton key for use on door locks made by Norwalk Lock Manufacturing Co. The key has a flat shaft that is marked N. L. M. Co. 22 on one side. The key measures 2 3/4"l with a 3/4"l pin (insert). The bit has a small notch on each side near the middle and notches on each side at the bottom. It also has a notch on the bottom center. The bit measures 15.7mm high from the top of the pin. This item is shippable.

Norwich Lock Manufacturing Co.

Norwich Lock Company began in 1865 in Norwich, Connecticut. The name changed to Norwalk Lock Manufacturing Company in 1872. By 1888, it was one of the three largest manufacturers of locks in the US, although it produced more than just locks. They manufactured a full line of building hardware including keys, door plates, doorknobs and padlocks. The company moved to Virginia in 1891 and continued in business until 1905.
