Norwalk Attributed Doorknob
Decorative early doorknob attributed to Norwalk Cir. 1884. It has the same back design as another doorknob in the catalogue, although this top design does not appear in the catalogue. This doorknob is made of cast bronze and is highly decorated on the top and bottom with floral and geometric themes. It has a textured and decorative background as well and the raised decoration. This type of highly decorative knob is often referred to as Eastlake style. The knob measures 2 1/4"diam. It snuggly takes a standard size square shaft.
This Norwalk Attributed Doorknob is an antique item and may show wear due to age. This may include scratches, pitting, patina, finish loss, rust or other general wear. We attempt to include any significant damage beyond regular wear within the description. We make every effort to clean as much paint, dirt and rust off of items while still leaving as much of the original patina as possible. Photos shown are of actual item you will receive.
