Lockwood Skeleton Key 2

Skeleton key for doors made by Lockwood. Marked on one side Lockwood MFC Co along the shaft and the number 3 at the top. The key has a flat shaft.  The key measures 3 3/8"l with a 3/4" long pin (insert). The bit has a notch on the middle bottom and notches on the sides near the top and bottom. The bit is 15.9mm high from the top of the pin. 

This Lockwood Skeleton Key 2 is an antique or salvaged item and may show wear due to age. This may include scratches, pitting, patina, finish loss, rust or other general wear. We attempt to include any significant damage beyond regular wear within the description. We make every effort to clean as much paint, dirt and rust off of items while still leaving as much of the original patina as possible. 

Lockwood

Lockwood Hardware Manufacturing Company began in 1878 under Henry Sanford Lockwood and Henry W. Lester. In 1889, Lockwood purchased the Nashua Lock Company. After suffering a bit of decline due to the Great Depression, the Independent Lock Company (ILCO) absorbed Lockwood. In 1934, an Australia branch began which continues to this day. The company was later reincorporated under the original name. It continues today as Lockwood under the Assa Abloy Group.
