Lockwood Genoa Doorknob
Heavy cast brass doorknob by Lockwood. Genoa design. The knob features a floral center with concentric motif around. Cir 1914. Nice patina and good condition. The doorknob measures 2 1/4"diam. *Note- this doorknob takes a larger than standard 3/8" shaft.

Lockwood
Lockwood Hardware Manufacturing Company began in 1878 under Henry Sanford Lockwood and Henry W. Lester. In 1889, Lockwood purchased the Nashua Lock Company. After suffering a bit of decline due to the Great Depression, the Independent Lock Company (ILCO) absorbed Lockwood. In 1934, an Australia branch began which continues to this day The company was later reincorporated under the original name. It continues today as Lockwood under the Assa Abloy Group.
