Hopkins & Dickinson 1874 Doorknob
Decorative cast bronze doorknob made by Hopkins & Dickinson. Cir. 1874. Eastlake style with multiple motifs including flowers, geometric designs and stylized leaves in an unusual sevenfold pattern (although in the catalogue it appears to be eightfold). The decoration continues on the back of the doorknob with a more simple repeated line design. The doorknob measures 2 n14/"diam. It requires a smaller than standard non-threaded square shaft.
This Hopkins & Dickinson 1874 Doorknob is an antique item and may show wear due to age. This may include scratches, pitting, patina, finish loss, rust or other general wear. We attempt to include any significant damage beyond regular wear within the description. We make every effort to clean as much paint, dirt and rust off of items while still leaving as much of the original patina as possible. Photos shown are of actual item you will receive. If multiples are ordered, a photo of additional pieces will be sent for approval.
