Corbin Tivoli Doorknob

Decorative cast bronze doorknob made by Corbin. Tivoli design. Cir 1895-1905. The doorknob measures 2 1/4" diam.  It features a bead border and twofold floral bouquet design in the middle. The shaping is a bit unique, thinner than a typical knob, but not quite drum shaped. It is in very good condition with a medium patina. This doorknob takes a standard sized square non-threaded shaft. 

This Corbin Tivoli Doorknob is an antique item and may show wear due to age. This may include scratches, pitting, patina, finish loss, rust or other general wear. We attempt to include any significant damage beyond regular wear within the description. Corbin

P&F Corbin was founded by brothers Philip and Frank Corbin in New Britain, CT. in 1851. Interestingly, Philip previously worked for the company that would become Russell and Erwin, which Corbin would merge with in 1902. It ran with a number of subsidiary companies in the 1900's including Corbin Cabinet Lock Co., Corbin Screw Company and even a Corbin Motor Vehicle Corporation! Corbin is still in business today under ownership of Assa Abloy under the name Corbin Russwin.
