Door set by Corbin in "Loraine" Design which includes a pair of doorknobs, doorknob shaft and a pair of door face plates. Wrought bronze plates with wrought steel doorknobs. Brassy finish is well worn on knobs. Plates are in excellent condition. Cir. 1905. Plates measure 8 1/2"l x 2 1/2"w at max. Doorknob shaft fits doors 1 1/4-2 1/2" with plates installed. If a different sized shaft is needed, please let us know. We may be able to accommodate different sizes.

P&F Corbin was founded by brothers Philip and Frank Corbin in New Britain, CT. in 1851. Interestingly, Philip previously worked for the company that would become Russell and Erwin, which Corbin would merge with in 1902. It ran with a number of subsidiary companies in the 1900's including Corbin Cabinet Lock Co., Corbin Screw Company and even a Corbin Motor Vehicle Corporation! Corbin is still in business today under ownership of Assa Abloy under the name Corbin Russwin.
