Corbin Canton Var Doorknob Set

Decorative doorknob set by Corbin in Canton design. This set is made of steel with decoration only on the top of the knob. It has a nice bronze finish, mostly intact. The finish has worn away to expose the steel in a few areas, mainly along the edges. The doorknobs measure 2 1/4"diam. The shaft can be set between 1 7/8"- 2 3/8" (measured without plates. If a different sized shaft is needed, please let us know. We may be able to swap out for a different size.

This is an antique item and may show wear due to age. This may include scratches, pitting, patina, finish loss, rust or other general wear. P&F Corbin was founded by brothers Philip and Frank Corbin in New Britain, CT. in 1851. Interestingly, Philip previously worked for the company that would become Russell and Erwin, which Corbin would merge with in 1902. It ran with a number of subsidiary companies in the 1900's including Corbin Cabinet Lock Co., Corbin Screw Company and even a Corbin Motor Vehicle Corporation! Corbin is still in business today under ownership of Assa Abloy under the name Corbin Russwin.
