Corbin Boston Flush Sash Lift

Antique decorative cast bronze flush sash lift with nickel plating made by Corbin. Boston design. Cir. 1895. It is shaped at both ends and has a floral decorative border. The lift measures 4"l x 1 1/2"w. The inset area measures 2 1/2"l x 1"w. There are two holes on the sides of the recessed area for attachment. 

This sash lift could also be used as a small pocket door hold.

Corbin

P&F Corbin was founded by brothers Philip and Frank Corbin in New Britain, CT. in 1851. Interestingly, Philip previously worked for the company that would become Russell and Erwin, which Corbin would merge with in 1902. It ran with a number of subsidiary companies in the 1900's including Corbin Cabinet Lock Co., Corbin Screw Company and even a Corbin Motor Vehicle Corporation! Corbin is still in business today under ownership of Assa Abloy under the name Corbin Russwin.
