Bronze Doorknob Set

Bronze Doorknob Set Nice heavy plain bronze doorknob set, probably dating from around the 1920s. The doorknobs come complete with a threaded shaft which allows it to be adjusted to fit most doors. One doorknob is set in place with a pin while the other can be adjusted along the shaft. This was a security feature for exterior doors so that the exterior knob cannot be removed. The doorknobs measure 2 1/4"diam. The shaft is standard size and should fit through most lock boxes. Maker is unknown. All of the companies had their own version of a similar basic doorknob. Some very minor scratches and dings.
