Brittan Graham & Mathes Ornamental Doorknob

Bronze double sided decorative doorknob made by Brittan Graham & Mathes. Also made by the precursur company Nimick and Brittan. Ornamental design. Cir. 1887-1890. It has an intricate eightfold design featuring leaf and geometric motifs. Part of the design is repeated on the underside of the knob. The knob measures 2 1/4"diam. It fits on a standard square non-threaded shaft. 

There is a little wear and a few small dings/scratches but the knob is in overall very good condition with a nice even patina,
