Brittan Graham & Mathes Lotus Door Plate

Early cast iron door plate made by Brittan Graham & Mathes. Lotus design, seen in 1890 catalogue. It features an Eastlake style design with floral and geometric elements over a japanned background. The door plate is slightly oversized and measures 5 5/8"h x 1 1/2"w, just slightly taller than the standard sized plate. The plate is marked on the back 1, 7131. It has been polished to a shiny gray.
