Single heavy cast brass doorknob made by Barrows Lock Works. Cir. 1920-1939. In the 1920 catalogue the design name is Marquette. It is listed under the special designs section in this catalogue. In the 1939 catalogue the name for this design is Fountaine. The doorknob features an intricate fourfold Victorian style design. It has a wide, flat drum style edge. It measures 2 1/4"diam. It fits on a standard square shaft. The doorknob is in very good condition. There is a very small dent on the bottom edge.

Barrows
Barrows Lock Works began in 1880 in Lockport, Ill. It is purchased by Yale & Towne in 1925, but they continue to produce under the Barrows name until 1953.
